Mae, The Hush Sound, Sherwood, and The New Atlantic.
March 28th, 2007 @ the Madhatter in Covington KY….
I took the pictures more for memories sake, then the photographic value of them….I was right THERE….ya know?
Missed the New Atlantic, didn’t really pay attention to Sherwood, The Hush Sound were really good, and Mae was wonderful.
They played their super long, epic intro to The Ocean. I have the 6 minute long video of The Ocean…just because its so beautiful.
Memorization

Yet I still belong to you;
you hold my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
leading me to a glorious destiny.
Whom have I in heaven but you?
I desire you more than anything on earth.
My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
but God remains the strength of my heart;
he is mine forever.
Psalm 73:23-25 New Life Translation
That’s what I’m working on memorizing.
My life verses for right now.
Especially that last part:
“God remains the strength of my heart:
He is mine forever”
Old Town
Posted March 26, 2007 by emilyeverafterCategories: Uncategorized
Me and the sisters visited that little town we grew up in t’day.
Visited “Old Town”, the ampitheater, and Dairy Queen.
Found out the old Ironwood park? The playground bus is GONE. What the crap? (I think its at 5 points now…)
I’ll have more at some point this week…..but I have work, classes AND a Mae show…so we’ll see.
Back to School
Posted March 22, 2007 by emilyeverafterCategories: Uncategorized
I’m a-headin back to school this quarter. And I have a goal.
I’m going for a photography certificate.
I can probably only take one to two classes a quarter, but I’m not in a real hurry.
This quarter is Black and White Photography 1.
I have to take all the film classes before I get into the digital.
And two black and white classes before I can take the colored.
Thankfully, my dad has a nice 35 mm that I can use for the class, so I’ll only have to buy film and paper…(which will probably cost a small fortune)
But I’m really excited…very excited.
I’m also pretty set on purchasing here in the next few months, the Sony Alpha DSLR-A100. Its compatible with my memory that I’ve already invested in, and since Sony bought out Konica Minolta’s DSLR technology, all A-type lenses work, of which, my dad has two….
So, that’s my life update.
Kite
Posted March 20, 2007 by emilyeverafterCategories: Uncategorized

“Over the twilight you’re listening for me
Darling, go to sleep
Cradled by moonlight, I’m dreaming we’ll be
Loved so deep
Floating and fighting, like a kite on a string
Till you cut through my tether and changed everything
From the sky you looked small, but I loved you the same
So I darted back quickly to spell out your name
And when they say that I’m just a terrible kite
You’ll tell them you’re proud of my marvelous flight”
-Copeland
I don’t want anyone.
But when I do, I want someone who can write,
play, and sing like that.
Its 12 a.m. And I’m random.

random thoughts:
So, did John Mayer write all those poetic, love songs for Jessica Simpson??
I’m going to pretend he didn’t.
So I can still listen to him.
All these commercials about
“HPV Awareness” and the vaccine?
PISS me off.
They always neglect to mention its an STD.
Therefore, I don’t need a vaccine if I’ve chosen to be abstinent. Stop trying to make it seem as though my little sister is in danger of catching it like the common cold.
Wardrobe Remix

So I’m in this group on Flickr, Wardrobe_Remix, if you want the full description of the group, check it out.
But I enjoy it because it inspires me, and my style, and I get to see all the other beautiful, stylish people in the group. The group was started by Tricia Royal, a super stylish, colorful lady, who has her blog/shop at Bitsandbobbins.com….she fairly often puts favorite picks from wardrobe_remix on her site, and I always sort of hoped that someday I would make the cut…and today, as I was browsing her blog, I found, much to my suprise, myself!! This is very exciting for me, there’s 3,191 members in the flickr group, and even more photos….

Everything Starts Where?
Posted March 12, 2007 by emilyeverafterCategories: Uncategorized

When I first picked up the new Lovedrug album (Everything Starts Where it Ends, plus a bonus CD with acoustic renditions of some of their older stuff) I was a a bit,…not, disapointed, but, not “awed” either. I really didn’t even listen to it till this weekend.
And after listening to it, I have come to the conclusion that I genuinley like it.
I don’t feel like doing a ‘musical’ review, but the title track has been in my head all weekend (After I finally got the song “Created” out of it.)
