Music to Mine Ears

September 27, 2006

My latest listening choices

Appleseed Cast “Two Conversations”. This CD is pretty amazing. It has atmosphere, depth, poetry-like lyrics…its very full sounding. “Hanging Marionettes” is my top track, followed by the mostly instrumental “A Dream for Us”. If you appreciate or adore Sigur Ros…you’ll probably like The Appleseed Cast.

Mogwai, “Mr. Beast”. I found this album searching [...]

Sweetly Broken.

September 25, 2006

“At the cross You beckon meYou draw me gently to my knees, and I amLost for words, so lost in love,I’m sweetly broken, wholly surrendered”-Sweetly Broken, Jeremy Riddle
Everytime I try to write something worship-esque…it sounds…so lame when I read it again…and yet…this guy manages to capture it so perfectly.
I would love to be able to [...]

Rainy Day Thoughts.

September 22, 2006

Its amazing. How a lack of friends can make the family closer. I love talking to my brother, and getting chances to hang out with him. I love taking runs with Val and ranting, and confiding on our cool-downs. I love….when Liv doesn’t pester me. (bully)
My dad [...]

Two-Day

You know what I’m craving?
Some real, true, honest, REAL friends.I’ve been skating by with just… “friends”….and…the time for that is over.I want authentic friends, who have my back just as much as I have theirs.
“In order to have authentic, in depth Christ centered relationships with others, you must have an authentic, [...]

I saw Showbread with Kim last night.
It was….interesting. They are a fascinating bunch.I’m not too into their music…But…I don’t mind live music…and hanging with friends so I went.
Other than that….my weekend consisted of going to Barnes and Noble with Amber and the sisters Friday night…Culture Fest and Apex, and stopping by The Greene for the [...]
