“…When good is found, and we embrace it with abandon, we embrace the Giver of it…this is what we were made for”

David Crowder, Praise Habit

Coincidentally, “This Is Worship” started playing on my playlist as I read this simple, profound sentence….I love the simplicity of God.

Listening to: Time Stops by Explosions in the Sky

On a beach we're dressed in red

“Your beauty and love chase after me
every day of my life.
I’m back home in the house of God
for the rest of my life.”

Billy, don’t you understand?
Timothy stood as long as he could and now
you made his faith disappear.
More like a magician and less like a man of the cloth.
We’re not questioning God.
Just those he chose to carry on His cross.
We’re no better, you’ll see.
Just all of us, the lost causes.

Aren’t we all to you just lost causes?
Are we all to you lost?
Lost causes
So all we are to you,
Is all we are, is all we are
All we are is all we are

“(*Fin)”- Anberlin, Cities

I reccomend this new album from Aberlin…
Its beautiful, epic, rockin…
And it still has the classic Anberlin sound.

Lately, I’ve been really into the designer, Built By Wendy (clothing designer)
very simple, clean lines and designs. Everything is very practical, and current, without being too trendy.

bbw3

Built By Wendy has sewing patterns available through Simplicity (my favorite pattern company by the way.)

I was blessed to find them on sale the other day….$1.00 each! Usually $8-$15 each! Score.

I’m making my first attempt at one…we’ll see how it goes. I’m excited to try out my new machine, and practice my sewing skills….

I’m making the white blouse, with the tie. But in THIS fabric:

Here’s to hoping it works out.

Then….Explosions in the Sky, All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone
EITS

Excited. I read an interview just yesterday, with EITS in Rolling Stone. When asked about politics/views on things today, I appreciated how they said that they were about the music. They didn’t feel that their music gave them a right to tell people what to do, or to believe….that the instrumental music could be taken any way people wanted it, to fit any mood, any moment, and that, basically, if they bogged it down with their politics, that it might ruin it for some people…..

I respect that a lot.

"And I Can't Get it Out of My Head"

Two days straight of being in the house.
Frickin snow.
There are stacks of it out there.
And its still freezing to boot.
I haven’t even tried the roads yet.
Work was closed for two days.
I need to get out.

Saturday is the Birthday.
I have plans…but the weather predicts more snow.
IT better NOT.
I would like to skip February altogether, all the time…
if my stupid birthday wasn’t right in the middle.

I think I’m getting cabin fever.
Or really weak and fat from not doing anything.
